Have a good logo and link it to your home page. The logo is an important part of your brand, so make sure it's located prominently on your site. Use a high-resolution image and feature it in the same place on each page. Its also handy to link the logo to the home page.
Use intuitive navigation. Navigation options are typically in a horizontal bar along the top of the site. Secondary navigation options underneath the primary navigation bar, or in the left-hand margin of the site, known as the sidebar. Youll notice that this site hasnt done that - thats because we wanted it to be a bit different from typical.
Confusing navigation layouts will result in people leaving a page before theyve found what they want. So instead of putting links to less important pages, put these at the bottom of a page in the footer. Or just leave out the less important pages.
Get rid of clutter. Try not to overload the page with images. Keep text paragraphs short.
