About us and the equipment we use
Dave Malpas studied piano from the age of 10 to 15, achieving Grade 5 before getting bored with playing only classical pieces. After a few organ lessons, Dave joined his first band in 1977. Government Propertys first gig, on New Years Eve 1979, blew all the fuses in the Cooperage, Newcastle upon Tyne. The second and final gig a few weeks later (at a birthday party) was terminated early by the birthday boys mam because she couldnt listen to that racket any longer.
About us
Although the use of computers for live theatrical productions is more common these days, we prefer to use mini discs. We find them more reliable and flexible. If you ask a minidisk to play, it plays - computers often decide they might like to wait a few seconds and a few seconds on stage waiting for the music to start can seem like a lifetime.
